Thai pop superstar STAMP releases ‘Ai no Sei de’, the Japanese version of mega-hit love song ‘It Could Be Love’, with lyrics translated by rising solo artist Aile The Shota!
Bangkok-based Thai superstar singer STAMP released his sixth Japanese-language single, titled ‘Ai no Sei de’ across all digital music streaming platforms. ‘Ai no Sei de’ is the Japanese version of ‘It Could Be Love’, a smash hit that also featured in the hugely popular Thai drama ‘Love By Chance’. It is a wholesome love song with a pure message of committing to loving somebody no matter the hardship, until they finally accept your affection. The translated Japanese lyrics were written by Aile The Shota, a popular solo artist who is also active as a songwriter and lyricist. The lyrics are entirely in Japanese, marking the first time for STAMP to sing a full song with only Japanese lyrics, and the sound of the words has a beauty that is distinct from the original Thai version.
STAMP and Aile The Shota made comments to mark the release of the new single.
Comment from STAMP
“Aile The Shota wrote the Japanese lyrics for this song. Shota provided lyrics that were as close as possible to the Thai version, so they felt familiar to my ears and I could sing them smoothly – I really love them.
“Shota also gave me some vocal performance tips in the studio. His considered advice helped me to nail the Japanese pronunciations so that I could give my best performance.”
Comment from Aile The Shota
“This is a song filled with love, and I hope that it goes on to receive even greater love. The words composed by STAMP and the sounds they spun pierced my heart. With the beauty of the Japanese language and the beauty of his singing voice, the result is a wonderful song infused with allure.”
