Yuki Kajiura to Release Early Best Soundtrack Collection to Commemorate 30th Anniversary!
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of her debut, Yuki Kajiura has personally selected soundtracks from games and anime that she worked on from 2001 to 2009 in order to create the “30th Anniversary Early BEST Collection for Soundtrack,” which effectively summarizes her early career from the 2000s. The album will be released on December 6, 2023.
This collection includes soundtracks from various works she was involved in at FlyingDog, such as NOIR, Aquarian Age, .hack, Xenosaga, MADLAX, Elemental Gelade, Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, El Cazador de la Bruja, and PandoraHearts. In addition, it includes 7 tracks from Bandai Namco Music Live’s Mai-HiME series. There are a total of 71 tracks, many of which are currently difficult to obtain on CD. The accompanying booklet features interviews with Yuki Kajiura about the music production process.
The Limited First Edition comes with a Blu-ray Disc containing the studio live performance titled “Yuki Kajiura LIVE Extra Edition ~ Studio LIVEStreaming vol.#1 reprise!” which was originally streamed on September 18, 2020. This performance was a recreation of Yuki Kajiura LIVE VOL#1, which took place in 2008, with the current band members, and all the songs are from before 2008.
