Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON currently missing

Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON fame has gone missing. According to Meshida’s family, no one has been able to contact him since June 5. The family has filed a missing person’s report for Meshida.

The other members of KANA-BOON came out and made the following statement: "The possibility that he got into an accident or some kind of trouble keeps coming to mind. As bandmates and as friends, we are very worried. We pray for his safety."

KANA-BOON had a concert scheduled this weekend to celebrate five years together, but due to the unfortunate circumstances the concert was canceled. We here at Ongaku To You send out our thoughts and prayers for Meshida’s well-being and hope he’ll be found safe soon. We will keep you posted as we learn more details.

KANA-BOON Announces Another Mini-Album To Bookend Their Anniversary!

Four-member rock band KANA-BOON announced a brand new mini-album titled, “ネリネ”  (“Nerine”), being released on December 19. “Nerine” is the fourth and final release to commemorate the band’s 5th anniversary since their major debut with their albums, KBB vol 1 & vol 2, and mini-album, “アスター” (“Asuta”), also being apart of that set. “Nerine” will release with five track totals and the band commented that they had a winter image to tie while composing the album.

KANA-BOON Announces New Album!

Four-member rock band KANA-BOON announced a brand new B-side compilation album, KBB vol.2, being released on September 19. This album is a companion piece for KBB vol.1, which was released in March of this year. Both KBB vol.1&2 were released to commemorate KANA-BOON’s fifth anniversary of their major label debut.

The album will release with thirteen tracks total, eleven tracks being the B-side tracks. Also included will be one new song ”夜の窓辺から” (“Yoru no Madobe kara“) and a remaster of their major debut song “盛者必衰の理、お断” (“Shoshahissui no Ri, Odan”).

Jump Festa Adds New Artist And Artist Line Up Dates!

The popular comic company Shonen Jump announced not too long ago that they will be having a music festival based on all of their series called JUMP MUSIC FESTA, We spoke of this news previously for their initial artist lineup, but now they have announced that SPYAIR will be joining as well. Also announced were the lineup dates for the artists. Currently, KANA BOON and BiSH are performing on July 7th and SPYAIR and Little Glee Monster performing on the 8th.

Shonen Jump first music festival artists has been revealed!

The popular comic company Shonen Jump announced that they will be having a music festival based on all of their series called JUMP MUSIC FESTA. They announced yesterday the first set of artist that will be participating in the festival: KANA-BOON, 氣志團 (KISHIDAN), BiSH, and Little Glee Monster. All four artist have sung opening and ending theme songs for various Shonen Jump anime. We can't wait for the announcement of more artists!

For those who are interested in going, it will be on July 7th and 8th at the amazing Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.
